The Design For Development Society is happy to announce that it has been granted official charitable status by the Charities Directorate of Canada. What does that mean for us and for the people who support us?
DFD Supporters
- Now receive tax-deductible receipts for their donations.
- Are able to obtain tax savings on donations of cash, gifts-in-kind, mutual funds, stocks and bonds.
- Are assured that contributions are being well-spent as DFD is accountable to donors, the Canadian public and Revenue Canada.
DFD Society
- Now has access to the organizational support that is available to charities in Canada and internationally.
- Is eligible to apply for private and government grants
- Can put more funds toward the charitable projects that we are involved in!
